Therapy Approaches

Every person is unique, which is why I draw from a range of evidence-based therapeutic approaches. Together, we will tailor therapy to your individual needs, goals, and circumstances.

Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)

DBT is designed to help people who experience overwhelming emotions, stress, or difficulties in relationships. It provides practical skills to help you manage emotions, cope with difficult situations, communicate more effectively, and feel more balanced in everyday life.

Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT)

CBT is a practical, evidence-based approach that helps you understand how your thoughts, emotions, and behaviours influence one another. Together, we identify unhelpful patterns and develop effective strategies to help you manage challenges, build resilience, and create positive change.

Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT)

ACT helps you develop greater freedom from self-critical thoughts, worries, and emotional struggles that may be holding you back. Rather than trying to eliminate difficult feelings, you'll learn skills to respond to them differently while moving toward the life that matters most to you.

Schema Therapy

Sometimes recurring difficulties in relationships, self-esteem, or emotional wellbeing can be linked to deeply ingrained patterns developed earlier in life. Schema Therapy helps you understand these patterns, heal their impact, and build healthier ways of relating to yourself and others.

Supervision

With over 20 years of experience as a psychologist, I provide clinical supervision for psychologists and counsellors at various stages of their professional journey. My approach emphasises reflective practice, professional growth, and practitioner wellbeing, creating a supportive space to explore clinical work, develop confidence, and navigate the challenges of practice.
